Chloe Charles Counselling Bristol City Centre

What can counselling help with?

Counselling is a type of talking therapy that allows the individual to talk about their problems and feelings in a confidential environment. Counselling aims to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable.

Taking a psychodynamic approach stresses the importance of the unconscious and past experience in shaping current behaviour. You will be encouraged to talk about your childhood relationships with your parents and other significant people. My role is to focus on the client/therapist relationship, particularly the dynamics. The psychodynamic approach is derived from psychoanalysis, but usually provides a quicker solution to emotional problems.
